אמר אי הוה אבוהון דיתמי קיים הוה טעין ואמר תלם אחד עשיתי לך א"ל שפיר קאמרת דאמר ר' יוחנן אם טען ואמר תלם אחד עשיתי לך נאמן זיל הב ליה מיהת תלם אחד

He said, “If the father of the orphans had been alive, he would have claimed, ‘I have conceded to him only one furrow?’” He said: You spoke well for R. Yohanan stated: “If he claimed, ‘I have conceded to you only one furrow, he is believed.” So go and give him at least one furrow.
